The Program For Participating Attorneys


  The Program: 
  • An annual cohort of 8-12 attorneys
  • Selected & committed to 12-month program
Phase 1: Months 0-6
  • 2-day kickoff/orientation training with curated notebook
  • Lunch-n-learns: 2-3 lunch-time training sessions per month
  • Access to free or discounted legal tools and training
  • If needed, co-working office space
Phase 2: Months 7-12
  • Practical training, 1-2 sessions per month
  • discounted office space, free/discounted tools and training
Phase 3: Months 13+ (optional)
  • Become part of incubator alumni network, help and support future cohorts

Michelle and Cameron started their law firm in late 2020 and have successfully grown to provide a variety of legal services across the Triangle.

Strategic Networking & Bar/Regulatory Update – Camille consults for Lawyers Mutual and is VERY active in statewide activities for the NC Bar. She’s on an influential Regulatory committee.

Pegeen Turner, Legal Tech consultant

Pegeen is out of Raleigh and is a legal tech guru. She also recently chaired the Small Firm/Tech committee for the NC Bar Association.


Janene Tompkins, Financial Planner

Financial Planning for long term. Janene is a CPA and Certified financial Planner. She’ll lay out some principles for long term financial planning and (yes) retirement.


Venus Liles, Practicing Attorney

In-house counsel for major software company AND owner of small law firm that supports startups and entrepreneurs.


Cameron Hardesty of Source Paralegal

Source Paralegal. Cameron is a lawyer and (former) paralegal. He founded Source Paralegal in 2021 as a firm that provides paralegal support for small/growing law firms. His idea is that a small firm may not be able to hire a full time paralegal but they can hire source paralegal to provide the support as it’s needed.


Catherine Sanders Reach of NC Bar Association

Catherine is an awesome resource available through the NC Bar Association's Center for Practice Management. She covers a multitude of topics: automation, legal tech, Business Continuity, Cyber Security and more.


Erik Mazzone, currently with Lawyers Mutual

Formerly at the NC Bar Association, Erik is returning to his roots in law practice management. He trains and consults small to medium-sized legal practices, helping to improve their practices (financial, legal and management).
